McNeill and Partners was established in 1964, first consulting to the automotive industry, later expanding into real estate, information technology, and finance. Over more than 40 years, the partners have built a successful group of enterprises, engaged in property investment, management consulting, asset and capital management. The group has operations in Australia, New Zealand and Hong Kong, with affiliate offices in Switzerland and China.

In 1980, the group successfully extended its Australian operations into IT & HR consulting, winning an $A300m HR supply assignment from the Australian Government.

In the late 1990’s the first McNeill office opened in Asia, advising on industrial, technology, and infrastructure projects. Completed advisory assignments include oil refining, publishing, logistics, and real estate, as well as energy and infrastructure developments.

Since this time, McNeill has expanded into the management of capital, helping establish the first Chinese municipal equity fund, and listing this entity on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange.

In September 2005, McNeill set up a JV with China Development Institute, a leading PRC consulting group, which has around 200 professionals engaged in M&A activities in China.

In 2007, McNeill assisted in the establishment of a new Private Equity & Real Estate Fund targeting direct investment into Asian property assets.
